This year’s Shamrock Tournament marked the 50th Anniversary of the annual tournament. Established in 1962 under the direction of Joe Mosca, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the tournament has continued to grow over the past fifty years while staying true to its original goals of basketball, faith, and friendship. With over eighty teams and five states represented the Shamrock is now one of the largest Catholic Middle School tournaments in the country.
We would like to extend a thank you to all who participated in the 2012 Shamrock Tournament. Everyone involved helped to make the 50th anniversary of the tournament a special weekend. We look forward to carrying on this tradition next year. We would like to congratulate all of the players and cheerleaders on the hard work they put into their seasons and wish them the best of luck as they move on with their athletic and academic pursuits. For those who were unable to attend the finals on Sunday the champions of each bracket and the recipients of the Joe Mosca and Sarah Almon awards can be found below.
